Newsletter – June 2025

Dear ICF Hong Kong members and friends,

I am pleased to introduce myself as both your new Board Member and Director of Operations. It is an honour to step into this role, and I am genuinely excited about the opportunities ahead to support and streamline our processes for you all.

With a busy calendar of events in the coming months—including our 15-year anniversary celebrations—my priority is to ensure everything runs smoothly, making each occasion a truly enjoyable experience for our members. Having been actively involved in our community, particularly as Peer Coaching Lead for the inaugural Peer Coaching Programme (which has just wrapped up), I have witnessed first-hand the strength and passion within this group. I look forward to building on that momentum and ensuring every member feels supported and empowered.

I cannot wait to get started and to work closely with you all. Here’s to an exciting and seamless journey ahead!

Warmest regards,

Mitalee Sharma
Director of Operations
ICF Hong Kong

Conclusion of Pro-Bono Partnership with HELP for Domestic Workers

On June 11, we celebrated the conclusion of the Ignite Pro-Bono Coaching Programme for HELP for Domestic Workers—a non-profit organisation supporting migrant domestic workers through emergency support, crisis prevention, mental health support, casework and rights assistance.

A huge thank you to Anna Chan, Sam Yu, Flore Cassin, John Azzo, Cheryl Lee, Eleni Symeonidou, and Pam Birkett, who dedicated their time over the past six months to guide and support the seven coachees from HELP.

Their coaching helped sharpen their leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills—key tools in their mission to support domestic workers and advocate for their rights.

If you’re eager to extend this kind of support to other NGO’s, we are accepting volunteers! Register your interest here

Pro-bono Coaching Wrap for Orbis Hong Kong

This month, we proudly marked the completion of our Ignite Partnership with Orbis Hong Kong. Through one-on-one coaching, our credentialed ICF HK coaches supported eight Orbis HK employees in their professional and personal growth, leading to mindset shifts, enhanced leadership skills, and personal breakthroughs.

The celebration was filled with gratitude and powerful reflections from coachees, highlighting the profound impact of this experience.

A huge thank you to Lead Coach Brenda Chan and our dedicated volunteer coaches (Amy Fung, David Tsui, Iris Kloth, Rowena Yiu, Sandy Hui, Silvia Suen and Terence Chung) for their expertise and generosity, as well as to Shiela Cancino and John Azzo for their unwavering support.

This partnership is a testament to the power of coaching in driving meaningful change within individuals and communities!

Celebrating the Success of our Inaugural Peer Coaching Programme

Last week, we marked the completion of our first-ever Peer Coaching Programme, celebrating seven months of growth, learning, and meaningful connections.

During this journey, 24 member coaches across all levels honed their skills, gained valuable experience, and earned paid coaching hours—all within a supportive environment. To commemorate this milestone, we gathered for a wrap-up presentation by Coach Ambassador and Board Member Mitalee Sharma, followed by a well-earned celebratory toast.

The thoughtful exchange of feedback among participants reinforced the impact of peer coaching in fostering professional growth and collaboration.

Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome new participants in our upcoming cohort starting in August, led by Coach Ambassador Deepti Mehra!
